By using Sportsman Authority, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The content is intended for a general United States audience and may not address rules or products in every location.

Field and safety judgment stays with you

Articles and tools are educational resources, not emergency, legal, medical, survival, or professional advice. A tool cannot inspect ice, weather, water, terrain, equipment condition, animal behavior, or your ability.

• No ice is ever one hundred percent safe. Conditions references do not declare travel readiness.
• Shooting-hours results are planning references, not legal determinations. Verify the current regulation and official time source.
• Follow current agency instructions, manufacturer manuals, recall notices, local rules, and on-site closures.
• Contact emergency services or the responsible local authority for an immediate hazard.

Products, fit, prices, and availability change

We work to identify exact products and keep specifications current, but manufacturers revise models, retailers change listings, and prices move. Editorial price bands are orientation, not live offers. Confirm the exact model, size, compatibility, seller, price, availability, warranty, and return terms on the manufacturer and retailer records before purchasing.

Affiliate relationships do not purchase a verdict

Some product links may pay Sportsman Authority a commission after a qualifying purchase without changing the shopper's price. Retailer and affiliate relationships do not buy placement, a recommendation, a score, or favorable language.

The affiliate disclosure explains the commercial system. Firearms and ammunition are excluded from the catalog and commerce layer.

Editorial work and public data have different owners

Sportsman Authority's original writing, design, data compilation, and tools are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may link to pages and quote short excerpts with clear attribution. Do not republish substantial portions, copy the catalog, or present the work as your own without written permission.

Product names, trademarks, manuals, retailer materials, agency records, and public datasets remain the property or responsibility of their respective owners. A citation or link does not imply their endorsement of Sportsman Authority.

Do not damage or misrepresent the service

Do not attempt to bypass access controls, turn `/api/go` into an open redirect, interfere with site operation, submit malicious code, impersonate another person, scrape at a rate that degrades service, or use the content to mislead people about a product, regulation, or field condition.

Reasonable indexing by search engines and AI crawlers must follow the published robots controls and must not expose review drafts or gated conditions routes.

No warranty and a practical limit

The site is provided as available. We do not promise that every page, data source, product link, or tool will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sportsman Authority and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the site or a third-party product or service.

Nothing in these terms removes a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived. If you are dissatisfied with the site, stop using it and send a specific correction where evidence supports one.
