A direct line to the publisher
Tell us what needs attention.
Send a correction, challenge a source, ask a gear question, or disclose a commercial relationship. Messages go to the person responsible for the site.
The useful version
Include the page URL and the exact claim, product, source, or policy you are writing about. Specific messages are easier to investigate and correct.
Write to Sportsman Authority
Email is the only contact channel we publish. It keeps the conversation direct and gives corrections, source links, model numbers, and screenshots enough room to be useful.
Corrections are part of the work
If a specification, source, product generation, fit note, retailer match, date, regulation, or public-data interpretation is wrong, send the page URL and evidence that supports the change.
Material corrections update the page copy and modified date together. A correction that changes the buying decision should be explained, not repaired silently. Disagreement by itself does not guarantee a change, but evidence gets reviewed.
What helps us verify a correction
- The exact page URL and sentence, table row, product, or image.
- A current manufacturer document, agency record, primary dataset, or reproducible observation.
- The date you checked it and why it changes the reader's decision.
Gear questions should include the job
Tell us what you are trying to do, the conditions, the equipment you already own, the fit or machine constraints, and a realistic budget. A model number or size chart is more useful than a retailer screenshot with the product name cropped out.
We cannot promise individual buying advice, but reader questions reveal missing comparisons and unclear guidance. The complete starting point is the gear catalog.
Brands, samples, and partnerships
State the company, exact product, model generation, proposed relationship, and anything of value being offered. Samples, affiliate rates, sponsorship, and access do not guarantee coverage, placement, a score, or a favorable verdict.
Sportsman Authority does not accept paid recommendations disguised as editorial work. Firearms and ammunition remain outside the commerce catalog. Read the affiliate disclosure before proposing a relationship.
Privacy and data requests
Use the subject line Privacy request and describe whether you want to know, correct, or delete information you believe we hold. We may need enough information to verify that the request concerns you, but we will not ask for unrelated identification.
The privacy policy explains what the site collects and which records may exist.
This inbox does not monitor urgent field conditions
Do not use this address to report an emergency, a person through the ice, a wildfire, an active wildlife conflict, or an immediate public hazard. Contact emergency services or the responsible local agency. Sportsman Authority does not monitor lake travel readiness and cannot make an ice assessment from a message or photograph.
